1 (16.5-oz.) white cake mix
1 to 1 1/2 c. fresh cut-up strawberries
Icing:
1 (8-oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
2 T. butter
1 c. cut-up strawberries, with a bit of sugar
Powdered sugar as needed
Directions:
Directions:
Mix cake mix according to directions. Stir in fresh cut-up strawberries. Bake in a 9x13-inch pan for 30 to 35 minutes at 350º. (Lining the pan with wax paper helps to remove it). Let it sit for 5 minutes when removed from oven, then turn out to cool. When cool, slice in half to make 2 layers.
Icing: Beat icing ingredients adding powdered sugar to spreading consistency. Add a layer of icing between cake layers; stack layers and ice the rest.
