4 lbs beef short ribs (I prefer the leaner ones.)
1 med onion, cut in wedges
1 1/2 C red wine
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 T Worcestershire sauce
1 t salt
1/4 t pepper
6 hard rolls

Sauce
3/4 C sour cream
3 T prepared horseradish
1 T sugar
1/4 t salt

Directions:
Directions:
Place ribs in cooker and top with onion quarters.
Combine wine, garlic, Worcestershire, and salt and pour over ribs. Cover and cook on low 9-12 hours till meat is very tender and falls away from bones. Combine sauce ingred and refrigerate.
At serving time, remove meat to shallow dish to remove bones and fat. Slice or pull apart meat. Moisten with cooking juices if needed. Place meat on sliced rolls and top with sauce. Save cooking juices for leftovers if desired.

This is the receipe when you see really lean, meaty short ribs; I never paid much attention to them till this recipe.
