3 c. plus 6 T. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. butter (I use part shortening)
1 c. plus 2 T. sugar
1 c. plus 2 T. brown sugar (firmly packed)
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs
1 1/2 (12 oz.) pkgs. chocolate chips
1 1/2 c. chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Combine flour, baking soda and salt in small bowl. In large bowl, combine sugars, butter/shortening and vanilla. Cream. Beat in eggs. Gradually add flour mixture. Mix well. Add chocolate chips and nuts. Drop by teaspoons on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375º for 8 to 10 minutes. Makes approximately 12 dozen cookies.
