1 c. black eyed peas
2 c. rice
3 c. water
1/2 lb. chourico sausage
thyme
3 chopped onions
3 T. seasoning salt
Gravy Master or browning sauce

Directions:
Directions:
Soak peas for 2 hours. Saute onions and sausage. Add peas and cover with water. Partially cook over low flame. In casserole dish place rice, peas, 3 c. water from peas, onion, sausage, salt and thyme.Mix well. Place in 350º oven and stir occasionally. Bake until rice is cooked, approximately 45 minutes.
