2 cups milk
1 egg beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 - 3 cups flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 tbsp. sugar
4 tbsp. (1/2 stick) butter
vegetable oil

Directions:
Directions:
1. Combine milk, egg, and vanilla
2. Add all dry ingredients and beat with mixer
3. When batter is smooth, fold in melted butter
4. Pour batter into a funnel or squeeze bottle
5. Pour vegetable oil in pan about 1 1/2 - 2 inch from bottom and heat
6. Stream batter into hot oil; create spiral-like shapes
7. Fry for 2-3 minutes or until golden brown
8. Sprinkle with powdered sugar
