Step 1. 1 pkg. dry yeast
3 tbsp. sugar
1/2 c. warm milk

Step 2. 3 egg yolks
1/2 c. warm milk
Beat thoroughly

Step 3. 4 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 c. shortening
Mix like pie crust

Directions:
Directions:
Add step1 and step 2 to step 3 and mix well. Place in refrigerator overnight. Separate into 3 portions. Roll each out thin. Spread with meringue filling.

Meringue Filling:
3 stiffly beaten egg whites, 3/4 c. sugar, 1 T. cinnamon.
Spread meringue onto rolled out dough. Roll up and shape into half moon.
Let rise for 2-3 hours. Bake in moderate oven at 350º for 20 minutes.
Cool and frost with butter icing.

BUTTER FROSTING
1/3 c. butter or margarine
4 1/2 c. sifted powdered sugar
1/4 c. milk
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Beat in additional milk as needed for better spreading consistency.
