1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
1 cup light brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup flour, unsifted
1 cup (6 oz) chocolate pieces
1/2 tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
In a small saucepan melt butter over low heat - remove from heat add sugar and stir until smooth and dissolve
Transfer mixture to larger mixing bowl and beat 1 minute
Add egg and vanilla
Continue beating until light and fluffy scraping sides occasionally
Stir in flour and salt just until blended
Fold in chocolate pieces spread in a 8 inch greased and flour square pan
Bake for 20 minutes at 350º or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean
Do not overtake
Cool completely in pan on wire rack than cut in squares
