1 c. oil
2/3 c. red wine vinegar
1 c. Parmesan cheese
5 T. sugar
a pinch of garlic powder to taste
a pinch of black pepper to taste

Mix together in an airtight container and refrigerate. (I use a recycled jar.) Will last for weeks in the refrigerator, but probably won't because it tastes so good!
Shake well before serving.

I prefer canola oil when I make this-- I think it tastes better in this particular recipe than olive oil. For the Parmesan cheese, use the kind that comes in the green canister (Kraft).
