3 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. garlic (1 clove)
6 slices of bacon cut 1" chunks
8 oz. sliced mushrooms
1 lg. onion, chopped
1/4 tsp. marjoram
1/4 tsp. thyme
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
2 tsp. beef bouillon
1 1/2 c. red wine
3-5 lb. beef tenderloin

Melt butter in lg. skillet, add bacon and saute. Add onions, mushrooms and 1/2 c. of red wine. Saute 5-10 minutes. Add rest of the ingredients and simmer 20 minutes. Preheat oven to 450º and put tenderloin in shallow roasting pan. Pour mushroom mixture over the top and let stand for 10 minutes. Cover with tinfoil and bake for 35 for rare...longer for medium to well done. Check with meat thermometer based on your preference.
