4 to 6 McIntosh apples, peeled and cut into 1 inch cubes
1 cup cloudy apple juice or cider
1 Tbsp. brown sugar
Cinnamon (optional)

Directions:
Add apples, apple cider, brown sugar and cinnamon to a medium saucepan. Heat over medium heat. Stir occasionally until bubbly. Remove from heat. Mash with a potato masher or use an electric stir stick for a smooth consistency.
I sometimes fill mason jars with the applesauce and process in a hot water bath. It is so delicious fresh or canned.

This is a definite family favorite. The boys requested it so much that I started canning it. I have mixed different types of apples and had tasty results too.
