1 egg
1 1/3 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
2/3 c. milk
2 T. sugar
3/4 tsp. baking powder
Corn oil for frying
Powdered sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Mix first seven ingredients together until smooth. Pour oil in pan to a depth of 2 inches and heat. When a drop of water sizzles in the oil, it is ready to fry the funnel cakes. Hold finger on bottom of funnel and fill with batter mixture. Hold funnel over pan, release finger and move the funnel in a circular motion to form the cake. Fry till bottom is golden brown, flip and brown second side. Serve topped with powdered sugar.
