Ingredients:  
2 cups white sugar
1 lb butter
4 large eggs well beaten
5 cups flour
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
¼ tsp nutmeg

Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugar and butter then add eggs. Mix well and add remaining ingredients.

Roll dough ¼ inch thick and cut into festive shapes.

Ice when cooled if desired.

Bake at 375 degrees on ungreased cookie sheet for 6 to 8 minutes.
