1 ½ cups half and half
4 eggs
6 oz Gruyere cheese shredded (1 ½ cups)
½ tsp salt
½ lb. Black Forest ham cut into ¼ inch pieces
1 tbsp butter
1 green pepper chopped
1 small onion
¼ tsp pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Bake pastry for 9 inch deep dish or 10 inch pie crust for 10 minutes.

Meanwhile, stir together the half and half, cheese, eggs, salt and pepper. Set aside. In skillet melt butter over medium heat. Add ham, green pepper and onion. Cook until pepper is tender about 5 minutes. Spoon ham mixture into crust. Pour egg mixture over ham mixture.

Bake 15 minutes at 425 degrees. Reduce heat to 325 degrees. Bake until center is set, about 40 minutes.
