1 C shortening
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 ¾ c sugar
¼ c milk
2 eggs (well beaten)
1/3 c dates (pitted and chopped)
1/3 c figs (chopped)
1/3 c candied orange (chopped)
2 c coconut (flaked)
1/3 c nuts (chopped)
3 C flour
3 T Baking Powdered

Cream shortening and sugar together. Add salt, vanilla, milk and eggs. Add flour and baking powder. Mix together. Stir in dates, figs, candied orange, coconuts and nuts. Bake at 350 until toothpick come clean from middle.

I substituted candied orange for candied pineapple. There was no temp or bake time. Had to guess on this one.
