Italian Meatloaf Recipe

1 1/2 pounds of ground beef
1 15 ounce can stewed tomatoes
2 eggs
3/4 cup Italian bread crumbs (I use progresso)
1 large green pepper diced
1 large onion diced
Lawrys seasoned salt and pepper to taste
1 tbsp. of Italian seasonings

For Glaze
1/4 cup ketchup
2 tbsp. of clear Karo syrup

In a bowl beat eggs then add to ground beef. Add onion, green pepper,stewed tomatoes and mix well. Start adding the bread crumbs slowly and mix well. Lay out some wax paper, pour mixture onto paper and roll to mix and form into loaf. Place loaf in a oven safe loaf pan and bake uncovered at 350º for 1 hour . To make the glaze, just mix Karo syrup into the ketchup, mix well. After meatloaf has cooked for 1 hour, remove from oven and glaze the top very well while still in pan. Put back in oven for 15 more minutes. Let stand for 10 minutes, then slice and serve.

I know what your thinking, meatloaf.. YUCK! But wait... this meatloaf is really good! My kids would always ask me to make this, and Tom and Paul would fight over who got the rest for meatloaf sandwiches! So try it, just saying.....
