Ingredients:
Ingredients:
3 - 6 Lemons
The amount of lemons depends on their size and your taste for tartness.

1 c. sugar
1 c. water

Directions:
Directions:
In sauce pan boil 1 cup sugar with 1 cup water till completely diluted or melted down.

Add amount of water to taste

Juice lemons. Add lemon juice and sugar syrup to pitcher and fill with warm water to your taste. Can be served cold or hot. Serve hot for a soothing drink for a sore throat.

Hints:
1. Wash lemons thoroughly with soapy water and remove labels..this will safely allow you to use all parts of the lemon; zest, rind & juice.
2. To juice lemons leave out of refrigerator till room temperature..cold lemons are stingy.. you can zap whole lemons in the microwave for a short period of time 10 - 30 seconds will help them render more juice..time depends on size of lemons and strength of your microwave.
3. Roll them under your palms on the counter top before slicing and squeezing.
4. Zest your lemons just prior to cutting and juicing them..use zest on all kinds of food like chicken or fish or as presentation on desserts.
5. Adding cut slices of lemon, lime and oranges makes a nice presentation but should not be left in for long periods of time as the flavor goes bitter.
6. Add other fruits to lemonade such as strawberries, raspberries, kiwi, oranges, or lime or make 100% raspberry or cranberry juice ice cubes.
7. After zesting and juicing--cut the rinds into small pieces and send down your disposal with hot water to freshen the disposal and give a great scent to your kitchen.
8. Cut rinds and add to water to boil on top of your wood burning stove...must use a safe kettle or pot for boiling water...and try oranges, cloves and cinnamon too.
9. Lemon rinds make great sterilizers for your cutting boards and counter tops.
10. Enjoy a fresh glass of lemonade with your feet up..and a good book.
11. Find someone to wave palm fronds on you for a cool breeze.
12. Feel like a queen!
