Cabbage Burger Dough Recipe

1 c. scalded milk - cooled
1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp salt
1/2 cup water (for yeast blooming)
2 pkgs yeast
2 eggs - beaten
5 c. flour
1/4 cup margarine or butter

1/2 head shredded cabbage - steam cook until tender - set aside.

1 lb hamburger - browned and drained
2 diced onions
season with salt, pepper, garlic and onion powder.
Set aside to cool.

Mix dough ingredients together and let rise twice.

Cabbage mixture: seam cook 1/2 head of shredded cabbage until tender and set aside to cool.

Meat: brown and drain the ground beef, add 2 diced onion and seasonings. Set aside to cool.

Combine meat and cabbage. Pinch off desired amount of dough, roll out in a square. Ad a spoonful of meat and cabbage mixture to center of dough, pull up sides and pinch seams together.

Preheat Oven to 375º

Place on a greased pan and let rise about 25 minutes.

Bake at 375º until lightly browned about 15 to 20 minutes.

Note: When placing dough in pan . I suggest placing seam side down, makes for a more elegant presentation!
