1 jar of dry mix (recipe follows)
Cream 2/3 c butter, softened
2 eggs
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Dry Mix for Jar:
1 1/3 c. rolled oats
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1/2 c white sugar
1 c. semisweet chocolate chips or M&M's
1 1/3 c. all purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4. tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º.
Cream butter in large bowl until smooth. Beat in eggs and vanilla until blended. (Mixture may appear curdled.) Add cookie mix jar to mixture. Stir until well blended. Drop by heaping tablespoons 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 10-12 minutes or until almost set.
Let cookies stand on cookie sheet about 2 minutes or until solid. Remove from cookie sheets and cool completely.


For Dry Mix:
Mix salt, baking powder and baking soda with flour.
Layer ingredients in jar in any order.
Cover with lid and fabric circle and then strap.
Tie ribbon around strap and decorate as you wish
Attach recipe above onto jar.
Makes 2 dozen cookies.
