1 c. flour
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. nuts, chopped
1/2 c. raisins, washed
1/2 c. milk
1 t. soda
Syrup:
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. butter
2 c. water
1/4 t. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together flour and sugar, salt and soda. Add nuts, raisins which have been run under hot water to soften, fold in milk...and set aside. Bring brown sugar, butter and water to a boil in skillet that can be put in the oven. Drop spoonfuls of batter into hot syrup. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes.
