2 c. sugar
2 c. self rising flour

Sift together & set aside.

Cook for 1 minute the following:
3/4 - 1 c. vegetable oil
1 c. water
1 stick butter or margarine
4 Tbsp. cocoa

Remove from stove, then add:
1/2 c. buttermilk
2 eggs
1 Tbsp. vanilla

Directions:

Mix all together, stirring well. Cook in a long pan for 350º for 35-40 minutes.

Icing:
3/4 - 1 stick butter or margarine
4 Tbsp. cocoa
1 Tbsp. vanilla
4 Tbsp. milk

Cook for 1 minute then add 1 box powdered sugar and pour on cake while hot.
