1/2 lb bacon, diced and fried
1/2 lb dried beef, shredded
1/2 lb sharp Old English cheese, grated
1/4 C pimentoes, chopped
1/2 C Miracle Whip
1/2 C canned tomatoes, small diced

Directions:

Mix all ingred. Heat in heavy pan over low heat till cheese melts. Add bacon. Spread between rye bread slices and grill as for a grilled cheese sandwich.

Lazarus is much loved department store in Ohio...with a wonderful tea room...fondly remembered by generations of mothers and daughters. I learned of it from my great friend, Jane McNally...and have had a number of special lunches there...some dishes that weren't even on the menu but you could get if you asked for them.
