1 T shortening
2 lbs. ground beef
4 tsp. finely chopped garlic
1 small bottle chile powder
2 T. flour
1 tsp. ground comino seed
1 T. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Heat shortening in frying pan until hot. Add ground beef and finely chopped garlic. Cover; reduce heat to low. Let beef mixture simmer for about 15 minutes. Mix chili powder, flour and comino seed together. Add to beef mixture; stir well. Add 3 cups water and season with salt and pepper. Cook 35 minutes . Yield: 8 servings.
