2 C. Granulated Sugar
1 1/2 C. Water
1/2 C. Light Corn Syrup
1 T. Vanilla
5 Quarts of Popped Popcorn
1 T. Distilled White Vinegar
1/2 T. Salt

Directions:
Directions:
Butter the sides of a large saucepan. In the sauce pan combine the sugar, water, salt, corn syrup, and vinegar. Cook over medium heat to the hard ball stage at 250º. Using a Spoon Thermometer works best. Remove from burner and add in vanilla mixing it in quickly. Slowly pour the hot mixture over the popcorn. Stirring just to mix well.

Butter hands lightly and shape into balls. Mixture will be VERY HOT so be very careful! Sometimes I us rubber gloves. Place balls on wax paper to cool.

Add food coloring for colored balls to celebrate the holidays.
