1, 16 oz can pitted dark sweet cherries
1 tsp. soda
1 Tbsp. melted butter
Hard sauce
1 c. sugar
1 c. all purpose flour
1 egg, beaten
1 c. chopped pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Drain cherries, reserve 1/4 c. juice. Combine all dry ingredients. Add egg, butter & cherry juice, stirring well. Gently stir in cherries and pecans. Spoon batter into greased 8 inch pan. Bake at 350º for 30-35 minutes. Cut pudding into squares and serve with hard sauce.

Hard Sauce:
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. whipping cream
1/2 c. melted butter
1/2 tsp. vanilla
Combine & cook over low heat, stirring until sugar dissolves and mixture is slightly thickened.
