7 lb. cucumbers, sliced 1/8-inch thick
1 c. lime
1 gal. cold water
Spice pack:
1 tsp. pickling spices
1/2 tsp. whole cloves
1 tsp. celery seeds
1 or 2 cinnamon sticks
Pickling Solution:
2 qts. vinegar
8 c. sugar
2 tsp. salt

Directions:
Combine cucumbers, lime and water. Let stand 24 hours. Drain, wash well, soak in cold water 3 hours. Tie the spices inside a small cheesecloth square. Mix the vinegar, sugar and salt; add to drained cucumbers with spice bag. Let stand overnight. The next day simmer all 35 minutes. Remove pickles and put in jars. Heat syrup and pour over pickles while hot. Seal
