9 inch pie shell - unbaked
3 eggs -beaten
1/2 cup sugar
1/8 tsp salt
2 cups scalded milk
1 tsp vanilla
1/8 tsp nutmeg

Directions:
Directions:
Beat eggs until foamy - Add sugar & blend well
Brush shell with butter & pour in filling.
Sprinkle nutmeg on top
Place custard in oven with rack on 3rd guide from bottom.
Bake at 450 degrees for 8 minutes.
Reduce heat to 325 degrees and bake an additional
25 minutes.
