3 C flour
3 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
4 Tablespoons vegetable oil
1 C warm water

Directions:
Sift flour, baking powder and salt into a large bowl. Add vegetable oil and water. Mix until well blended. Turn the mixture onto a floured board and knead 3-5 minutes or until the dough is soft and no longer sticky. Cover and set aside 20 - 30 minutes. Divide the dough into 16 - 18 balls about 1 1/2 inch in diameter. Keep them covered with a damp cloth. Roll out each ball on a floured board with a rolling pin into a 6 inch diameter circle and 1/8 - 1/4 inch thick. Cook tortillas on a hot, ungreased griddle until lightly browned on each side. As they are done place them in a cloth lined basket or bowl and cover to keep them warm and moist.
