Boiled Chookies Recipe

Part 1
2 c sugar
2 T cocoa
1/2 c milk (whole or 2%)
1/2 c margarine (1 stick)

Part 2
3 c Quick-One Minute Quaker Oats
1/2 c peanut butter (smooth)
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 c raisins, nuts, or coconut

Directions:
Directions:
First mix ingredients of Part 2 in a bowl. You will need to use your hands to work the peanut butter into the oats. Put aside.

Mix ingredients of Part 1 in a pot on the stove.
Melt margarine first at a low to medium heat, add sugar and cocoa and finally the milk.
Bring to a rolling boil and boil for 1 minute.
Quickly add ingredients from Part 2 and mix with a spoon.
Drop by spoonful onto waxed paper. This must be done quickly in order for Chookies to set up while still hot..
Let cool for 20 to 30 minutes and eat or store in the refrigerator or freezer.

One batch makes about 36 cookies.
