1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1/2 t. lemon or vanilla extract
2 c. flour
1/2 t. salt
1 t. baking powder
1/2 t baking soda
1/2 c. sour cream
Directions:
Directions:
Blend the shortening with the sugar. Add the eggs and flavoring
Mix the rest of the dry ingredients together. Add the sour cream. Chill.
Roll out dough to 1/4 " thickness on a floured board. Cut into shaped.
Bake 350 degree for 10-12 minutes

Lining the cookie sheet with parchment paper helps the cookies to brown on the bottom and not burn.
