1 cup flour
½ cornstarch
½ cup powdered sugar
¾ cup butter (cold) - do not use margarine or shortening

food coloring (optional)

Directions:
In a mixing bowl, cream butter (with food coloring if desired) until softened and mix in dry ingredients.

Shape into 1" balls, place on ungreased cookie sheet, and flatten in a criss-cross pattern with a floured fork. Bake 20 minutes at 300º until lightly brown.
