1/2 c honey
1/4 c vegetable oil
2 large eggs
1 3/4 c whole-wheat flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp each baking soda and salt
1 c mashed bananas
1/2 c sunflower kernels

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. Grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.

Combine honey, vegetable oil and eggs in a large bowl. Beat with electric mixer set at medium speed until blended.

Sift flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt into a medium bowl. Add to honey mixture alternately with bananas, beating well after each addition.

Reserve 2 teaspoons sunflower kernels. Add the remaining sunflower kernels to the batter and mix well. Spoon into the prepared loaf pan.

Sprinkle top of loaf with the reserved sunflower kernels. Bake until browned, about 50 to 60 minutes.

Cool in pan 10 minutes.

Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
