1 pound small white navy beans
4 pounds spare ribs or pork butt
1 large can tomato sauce
2 large onions
1 tablespoon sugar
1 1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon granulated garlic

Directions:
Directions:
Soak beans overnight. Clean fat off of meat. Cut into serving pieces. Cut onions in thick rings. Put a layer of meat on bottom of pan, then a layer of onion rings, salt, pepper, sugar and garlic. Cover with beans. Top with a layer of onion rings, tomato sauce and warm water to almost cover beans.
Bake in a roasting pan with cover, 5 to 6 hours at 300º.
