1/2 head red cabbage
1/2 cup oil
1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
3 tablespoons sugar
4 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon seasoned salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon onion powder

Directions:
Directions:
shred cabbage irregularly, with some fine and some coarse shreds, into a bowl.

Add oil, vinegar, sugar, salt, seasoned salt, pepper and onion powder. Mix well

Let stand sever hours or overnight to allow flavors to mellow and slaw to achieve deep red color.

Double recipe if using whole cabbage
