1 lb. ground beef
1 onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 or 2 jalepeno peppers, minced
1 apple, chopped
1 (15-28 oz.) can tomatoes, chopped
1/4 c. raisins
1/3 c. sliced olives (green or black)
2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. basil
1/2 tsp. thyme
slivered almonds
Cooked rice enough for 4

Directions:
Directions:
Since this is hash, the amounts can vary based on taste or mood. That explains the (15-28 oz.) can of tomatoes. If you want more tomato taste or more juicey sauce, use the larger size can.
Saute the ground beef and drain grease. Add a little olive oil if desired for sauteing the onions and garlic with the meet. Add all the rest of the ingredients, except almonds. Simmer at least 1/2 hour. Serve over rice and top with almonds.
