2 Gallons Hot Water to a 5 Gal. bucket.
Pint Clear Karo Syrup.
4 oz. Chlorine Bleach.
2 oz. Cider Vinegar.
1/2 Tsp. Borax.

oz. liquid Woolite or Joy Dishwashing Detergent.

Directions:
Directions:
Add 2 gal. of hot water to a 5 gal. bucket. Add next 4 ingredients. Stir and then add 2 oz. liquid Woolite or Joy dishwashing detergent. Cut tree trunk an inch or more above base to expose fresh tissue. Stand tree in the solution in a protected place (where pets cannot drink the solution). Soak it for 5 days before moving tree indoors. Once the tree is decorated, fill the stand with preservative. Be prepared to add preservative. Tree can absorb almost 3 gallons of solution.
