1 c butter
1 1/2 c sugar
1 t vanilla
8 oz cream cheese at room temp.
1/2 t almond extract
1/2 t baking powder
3 1/4 c flour
1 egg

For Frosting:
1/3 c butter
4 c powdered sugar
1/4 c milk
1 t vanilla

Directions:
Cream together butter, sugar and vanilla. Then add cream cheese, and almond extract and egg. Mix baking powder into flour and add to mixture. Spread into the bottom of a jelly-roll pan (14"x18" approx.) Bake at 350º for 20 minutes and cool then frost and cut into bars.

One of my all time favorites! Sometimes I substitute 1 c of whole wheat flour and it still has a good texture and is maybe a little healthier.
