2 c. Flour
2 tsp. Baking Powder
1 tsp. Salt
1 tbsp. Sugar
3 tbsp. Shortening
2/3 c. warm Water
1 1/2 c. Cooking Oil

Directions:
Directions:
Mix dry ingredients. Add shortening and cut in coarsely. Add water gradually, kneading dough for about 5 to 8 minutes. Cover and allow to stand for 15 minutes.

Roll dough into a thin rectangular sheet about 1/8 inch thick. Cut into 3-inch squares. Deep fry in hot oil until puffy and bread turns a golden brown. Drain on paper towel.
