1 1/4 c. flour
1 1/4 c. sugar (divided)
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 (1-oz.) square chocolate
2 T. butter
1/2 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1/2 c. brown sugar
2 T. cocoa
1 c. boiling water

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together the flour, 3/4 c. sugar, baking powder, and salt; set aside. Melt the square of chocolate and butter. Stir in the milk and vanilla.
Add milk mixture to dry ingredients all at once. Add the chopped nuts. Turn batter into 8x8-inch cake pan. Combine 1/2 c. sugar, brown sugar and cocoa; sprinkle over batter . Pour the boiling water over all. Bake at 350º for 45-50 minutes.
