¼ cup butter or margarine
½ pound marshmallows
5 cups Rice Krispies

Melt butter in 3-quart saucepan. Add marshmallows and cook over low heat, stirring constantly until marshmallows are melted and mixture is well blended. Remove from heat. Add Rice Krispies and stir until well coated with marshmallow mixture. Press into pan. Cool and cut into squares.

Crispy Peanut Butter Treats

Blend ¼ peanut butter with marshmallow mixture before adding Rice Krispies. Mix well.

Tropical Krispies

Add 1 cup shredded coconut and ½ cup chopped nuts to Rice Krispies and mix well.

Canadian Krispies

Add 1 teaspoon maple flavoring to marshmallow mixture before adding Rice Krispies. Mix well.
