1 cup softened butter
1 egg yolk
2 cups flour
1/2 cup icing sugar
1/2 tsp salt
flavor of choice
Directions:
Directions:
Mix icing sugar with soft butter until quite smooth and then add egg yolks. Gradually add flour. Rolls out somewhat thicker than usual cookies. Cook at 325ºF until slightly brown. Very rich, trim with a dab of icing. Garnish with nuts or cherries.
