1 cup margarine
1 egg
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla or almond extract
1 cup red and green cherries
1 1/3 cup brown sugar
2 3/4 cup flour
1/4 cup chopped nuts
1 tsp baking powder
1 cup currents
Directions:
Directions:
Mix well, form in a roll using wax paper. Chill overnight before slicing to bake or they can be frozen and baked when required. Bake at 350ºF until done. Other ingredients such as Christmas mixed fruit can be used instead of currents.
