1 pkg chocolate cake mix
1/2 cup margarine or butter melted
1 egg slightly beaten

Filling:

2 cups powdered sugar
1/4 cup shortening
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 egg white

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 350ºF. In large bowl combine all cookie ingredients and mix well. Firmly shape dough into 1 inch balls. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 9 to 13 minutes or until set. Cool 1 minute then remove from cookie sheets. Cool completely. In small bowl combine 1/2 cup of powdered sugar, shortening, vanilla, and egg white, blend well. Add remaining powdered sugar and beat until smooth and creamy. Spread heaping teaspoon of filling between 2 cookies.
