Brownie
1 cup butter
2 cups sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
4 eggs
1/2 cup cocoa
1 1/2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon salt

Peppermint Filling
3/4 cup crushed peppermint stick candy (or one Giant one)
1/2 cup milk
1/2 envelope (1 1/2 teaspoons) unflavored gelatin
2 teaspoons water
2 cups heavy cream, whipped until stiff
1/2 cup chocolate syrup

Directions:
Directions:
Combine Candy with milk; heat and stir until dissolved. Soften gelatin in water and add to the milk and candy mixture. Chill until mixture starts to set (around an hour) Fold into whipped cream.

Layer in a trifle bowl 1/3 of the cut brownies, 1/3 of the peppermint filling and then 1/3 of the chocolate syrup. Repeat 2 more times. I served it right away but it was so much better chilled for a few hours. Enjoy!!
