"I have long believed that good food, good eating is all about risk. Whether we're talking about unpasteurized Stilton, raw oysters or working for organized crime 'associates,' food, for me, has always been an adventure."--Anthony Bourdain

Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 lb. hamburger
1 can veg-all - drained
1 can tomato soup

Baking Powder Biscuits
1/3 c. shortening
1 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
2-1/2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt
3/4 c. milk

Directions:
Directions:
450º, 10 - 12 minutes - In large oven proof skillet (I use cast iron) brown hamburger add veg-all and tomato soup, heat through.

Biscuits:
Cut shortening into flour, baking powder, and salt with pastry blender until mixture resembles fine crumbs. Stir in just enough milk so dough leaves side of bowl and rounds up into a ball.
Turn dough onto lightly floured surface. Knead lightly 10 times. Roll 1/2" thick, cut with 2" (or so) floured biscuit cutter

Place biscuits on top of hamburger mixture and put in oven. Canned biscuits don't work-they don't cook through like the homemade ones.

Can also top with mashed potatoes.

Personal Notes:
A very quick and easy meal.
