2 Tbsp. light corn syrup
1/2 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
6 eggs, lightly beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. milk
1/4 tsp. salt
cinnamon

Directions:
Grease a 9"x13" pan. Cube 12 to 14 slices of bread and spread in pan. In a small saucepan combine corn syrup, butter, and brown sugar. Simmer until syrupy. Pour over bread cubes. Mix eggs, milk, salt, and vanilla together and pour over bread cubes. Sprinkle cinnamon lightly over the top. Cover and refrigerate overnight. When ready to bake, uncover pan and bake at 350º for 45 minutes. Cut into squares and serve warm with syrup.

I usually use a loaf of italian bread from the grocery store bakery, which is just about the right amount. The bread cubes should come up to not quite the top of the pan. Also, the caramel concoction smells divine, but word to the wise: it takes a while to cool. After you pour it over the bread, resist the urge to lick the spoon. It will burn your mouth. I mean, it probably will, hypothetically speaking. :)
