1 (16 oz.) pkg. Jimmy Dean's pork sausage
7 eggs beaten
3 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
2 Tbs. melted butter, ( or more if desired )
1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
salt to taste
3 cups Quakers Quick Grits, cooked
1 small garlic clove, minced (opt).

Directions:
Directions:
Crumble sausage and cook until pink has disappeared.
Drain and spread sausage on bottom of a lightly greased 13 by 9 baking dish. Combine eggs, 2 cups of cheese, butter and cayenne pepper. Season with salt to taste. Gradually add egg mixture to the cooked grits and pour over sausage. Top with 1 minced garlic and remaining of cheese.
Bake in 350º oven for 20 to 30 min. until hot and bubbly . Let stand for 5 min. before serving.

When cooking grits, you can add 3 & 1/2 to 3 & 3/4 cups liquid ( a combo of water, chicken broth, milk, or half and half ) to 1 cup of grits, but you certainly can
cook them according to pkg. directions.
