2 c. brown sugar
1-1/2 c. dark syrup
1/2 c. water
1 tsp. water
1/2 tsp. cream of tarter
1 T. vinegar

Cook to crack or 252º. Add 1 T butter or margarine. Makes enough for 3 pullers.

This is the perfect blizzard party activity. Whenever it starts to snow hard, people in my family look forward to pulling taffy. We turn it into a group competition to see who can pull the taffy longest and get the blondest taffy. It's also a good at home substitute for an upper-body Nautilus workout!
