1/2 C Crisco shortening
1 T sugar
4 tsp baking powder
Mix well with pastry blender and add:
2/3 to 3/4 C milk
1 beaten egg

Knead 20 times on lightly floured surface. Cut at 3/4" thick with biscuit cutter. Bake at 450º for 10 min. till lightly brown. Don't over bake.
