2 c. sugar
3 T. cocoa
3 T. flour
dash of salt
2 c. milk
1/2 stick butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
In a medium saucepan mix sugar, cocoa, flour and salt; gradually add milk stirring constantly; cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until bubbly; continue cooking until thick, always stirring to prevent lumping and scorching; remove from heat, add butter and vanilla, mixing well until butter is melted.

My Daddy, Ron Yates, cooked this pudding for me and my two brothers when we were growing up. He served it hot with saltine crackers. Sometimes he would add chopped pecans. Yummy!
