Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
Our butter cookie recipe comes from Shirley Weaver a
neighbor of ours in Ben Lomond. I was at her house having
coffee and swapping recipes. While her precious little Otto was
on the deck. Otto was her cute little black dog. It wasn’t long
before Otto had a visitor. Our Koots came to find me. Shirley
jumped up and said, “Excuse me while I chase that ugly, trashy
dog off!” I said, “That’s okay, I will take him home with me.”
It has been a family favorite Christmas cookie since.
